The company was founded in 1957 by Charles Richardson (Chuck’s father), and he learned from the best – his grandfather. To this day, Chuck still runs the family business from its original Medford, NJ location. Surrounded by skilled electricians all his life, Chuck got involved with Richardson Electric when he was eight or nine years old as a “go for” boy. He grew into the business by working for his father. Chuck then worked as an apprentice electrician after high school graduation and soon received his electrical license upon completion of night school. Chuck takes on each job like he’s working in his own home, because electrical contracting is second nature to him – in fact, it’s very personal.

While the nature of electrical wiring has evolved from fixing and reinstalling switches to a “throwaway” society that replaces everything, our quick, responsive service never changes. Richardson Electric has been Chuck’s life and livelihood for over 35 years. He and his trained staff of electricians serve the Burlington, Camden, and Gloucester County area of southern New Jersey. They travel to Marlton, Medford, Mount Laurel, Cherry Hill, Maple Shade, Voorhees, Turnersville, Washington Township, and all points in between.
